Duct Monitors
Victoreen has process monitors designs for almost every application. Whether for gaseous or liquid effluent monitoring in off-line, in-line, adjacent to line, or duct mount configurations, Victoreen has a design for the job.
940-7 Duct Monitor
The Model 940-7 Duct Monitor is a single-channel Geiger-Mueller (GM) area radiation monitoring system capable of operating over the range of 10-2 to 103 mR/h.
-
Range: 5 decades between 10-2 and 103 mR/h
-
Energy response: 15% from 80 keV to 1.5 MeV
-
No external power needed at detector location
-
Preamplifier integral with detector
965 Stack Continuous Air Radiation Monitor
The 965 Stack Monitor is a single-channel radiation monitoring system which operates over the range of 10 to 107 CPM. The system monitors gamma radiation and provides indication when the radiation level decreases below a fail threshold, exceeds a warn setpoint, exceeds a high set pointor exceeds an overrange setpoint.

-
Stack/duct flow monitoring capability
Model 940-2 Off-Line Liquid Effluent Monitor
The 940-2 Off-Line Liquid Effluent Monitor assures radioactive materials within liquid effluents do not exceed maximum permissible concentrations (MPC), protecting personnel against the possibility of exposure to excessive radiation.
-
Off-line liquid monitor
-

940-3 On-line (Snowplow) Monitor
The Model 940-3 On-Line (Snowplow) Monitor is an easily installed, liquid effluent monitor that clamps around a process line to be monitored. The assembly has considerable weight due to the required Pb shielding to reduce the effects of background radiation. Clearance is required at the back end of the unit for accessibility to the detector.

940-702 Shielded Duct Monitor
The Model 940-702 Shielded Duct Monitor has been designed for the direct measurement of the noble gas activity in a ventilation or exhaust duct in low background areas.
-
Process radiation monitor
-
Airborne effluent monitor for ventilation ducts
-
Measurement of beta or gamma radiation
940-9 Portable Continuous Air Monitor
Off-line gas monitors are frequently used in conjunction with particulate monitors. This is particularly the case with a stack or duct where effluent is released into the environment. Used in this manner, the particulate monitor serves as a pre-filter for the gaseous monitor and also as a monitor of airborne radioactive particulates.
-
Mounted on heavy-duty casters to enhance mobility
-
Self-contained portable air monitor
-
Compatible with Model 943 Series detectors and Model 942A Series or Model 960 Series electronics
940-4FP Condenser Discharge Fission Product Monitor
The 940-4FP monitor, when configured with beta scintillation detectors, will detect the presence of fission products to the levels required by Regulatory Guide 1.97. By configuring the monitor with a gamma scintillation detector and utilizing the guidance provided in EPRI TR-104788-1, the fission product activity may be used to determine a primary to secondary leak rate as low as 1 gallon per day (GPD).
